Amanda Stirn leads Stirn & Associates, an accounting and business consulting firm with more than 25 years of experience working with business owners, accounting teams, and organizations. Her background spans accounting, financial reporting, business operations, project and cost management, internal controls, and process improvement.
Under Amanda’s leadership, Stirn & Associates participated in and graduated from the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program and provided public-sector consulting in Washington State. Her work included project controls, cost and contract management, financial oversight, and support for complex infrastructure projects.
Amanda’s work has also been recognized throughout her career. In 2007, she received the NAWBO Bridge Builder Community Star Award for her work as a project manager and lead consultant on teamed projects. The award recognized her ability to bring people together, work through differing viewpoints and unexpected challenges, and help move complex projects toward successful outcomes. Cathy McMorris Rodgers personally recognized the achievement and Amanda’s leadership in a congratulatory letter.
Her other professional recognition includes awards from the Washington State Department of Transportation, the Florida Small Business Development Center at FGCU, and Florida Gulf Coast University.
Amanda has also worked extensively with nonprofit organizations. As Senior Assistant Director of the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, she played a major role in the budgeting and project-management work supporting the Museum’s successful 2012 IMLS Museums for America grant proposal. The $146,140 request was fully funded.
Today, Amanda works with businesses and organizations on accounting and bookkeeping support, QuickBooks and Intuit Enterprise Suite, financial reporting, project accounting, workflow and process improvement, financial statement preparation, and business transitions.
